Default a HOT heater at last!!!

After finally getting around to the task of my fixing poor heater I can now say it gets nice and hot in the car on both sides.... the heater had the classic luke warm drivers side and cool passengers side and made a strange gurgling sound ....

The way in which I flushed the matrix was slightly different to most "how too " post's , rather than disconnecting the fiddly and rather poor clips to the matrix I decided to disconnect the heater inlet and outlet pipes where they mate to the engine , firstly I drained the system and then connected my garden hose to the heater inlet pipe and flushed the matrix for a good few minutes , then I mixed up a solution of hot water and descaler and poored it into the inlet whilst making sure the outlet pipe was raised to stop any solution escaping , a good 30 minutes later and several hot water flushes , I re-connected the pipes and added fresh anti-freeze and de-ionised water , bled the system and started her up...a few minutes later BINGO!! a lovely hot heater at last....

Well done, and a nice write up for someone else to follow in your footsteps. .

Just in the nick of time as well as it's been a bit chilly early morning this last week, I've been needing my heater a little bit.
