Annoying wipers
Hi all. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before but when i turn my engine off, my wipers give one sweep even though they are in the off position. Is there a solution to this as i am sure that they did not do it when i got the car.
Love the site by the way

It's just the car's way of waving good bye
Have you tried unplugging the battery for 30mins to reset it? |

This can be caused by the switched live and permanent live supplies to the radio being swapped over. Have you fitted an aftermarket radio?

Yes i have. Come to think of it i did notice the wiper around the same time. Is it just a matter of switching those 2 wires around?

Yep, that simple. Just swap the switched live and permanent live.

I had the same problem when I bought my car. It had a cheapie HU, I swapped it for a Sony and it stopped immediately. I didn't have to swap over the wires though.
Edit; I don't mean you have fitted a cheap HU

It is not a cheapie head unit that causes it. It is the iso wiring will simply have the switched and permanent live different between manufacturers. Most stereo manufacturers now have bullet connectors to allow you to swap them easily. Should be the yellow and red wires from the stereo.
