I'll check the gas level, just in case, but I intend to check out replacing the radiator fan as it's as dead as a dodo.

Just to round this thread off.

Thanks to 'SD1too' for recommending 'Arctic'. Not only did he supply a refurbished fan, he fitted it for me too. Now I have a fully working 2-speed fan with gold resistor, which seems to have cured the climate control problems (no more whooping noises). And just as an aside, he spotted a cracked engine mount and replaced it for me.

Excellent job 'Arctic'

Now I've just got to sort out my faulty FBH unit and find a replacement for my tailgate cladding - still one thing at a time.

Hi Mike - it was split rubber, but Steve replaced the whole mount.
