I’ve just replaced the front droplinks on my 75 as a ‘clunk tracking’ exercise. I bought cheap......they certainly fit that. Look shiny but the rubber boots are held in place by a twist of wire at one side and a rubber band!! At the other. I don’t expect them to last long but they were the cheapest. Bonus is the clunks have diminished so when these jobbies pack in I’ll buy better.

Sorry - I should have been clearer. More a visual inspection and dissection via hacksaw and inspection within than testing to destruction.
We did fit the top few contenders to friends and family members' 75s / ZTs, and most cover quite high mileage. Since we did this, we've only had one set fail (Unipart, both knocking from top ball joint within 15k or so) with the others still OK.
I'd have to check, but from memory we have:
First Line: Currently on around 20k, both OK
Delphi: Currently on around 10k, both OK. However I've had a set fail on me personally
Lemforder: Currently on around 15k, both OK

There are a few others, but for the life of me can't remember the length of service they've had. I'd have to dig out the notes I made to find which links are on which car.
I'm also well aware that one set isn't enough to accurately gauge lifespan - some expensive links fail prematurely, and some eBay cheapies seem to last forever.

Interesting to note the theory regarding grease - I'm all for a good to-and-fro discussion. I've always thought that plenty of grease would minimise wear to the plastic insert, thus stopping play developing - a lack of such would cause abrasion between the two and play to develop.
