Happy Christmas Jan and John, a peaceful and healthy New Year.

Thank you so very much for enthralling us with such beautiful and atmospheric photos throughout the year. The most recent ones must have been quite challenging and difficult to achieve in the cold weather. Your photos are high quality and pleasing to the eye. I am already feeling homesick for the UK.

We send our love and hopes for the year ahead to you both.

Please keep the photos coming

Best wishes

Philip and Jessica

Following on from my previous pics in post;706 from the same location same date, a very appropriate set of images for the time of year, although we have not had quite so hard a frost as this for some time around here, I thought it so gorgeous they would make for a good start to 2023.

Jan & I send you all the best of wishes for a very..... Happy, Healthy & Peaceful NEW YEAR.

Two views of Jan & I's Hyundai Tucson Mild Hybrid in Teal Blue, captured in the recent freezing frosty conditions at Bassenthwaite near Keswick 15th December 2022.

Nice captures of your Tucson and surroundings

They are very nice cars, I get to photograph them every week along with their stablemates .

Many thanks Jeff, yes you are correct they are very nice indeed, the new style Tucson is certainly a superb motor, Jan & I have had it 2 years this month, we previously had a Hyundai i40 Tourer from new, again another fantastic motor, so much so we kept her for 8 Yrs.

At the time we were reluctantly considering a change, due to arthritis possiby something slighty higher for ease of access, a new style Tucson had arrived in the showroom that day.

I have never really been an SUV fan but after being loaned the new Tucson for the weekend, we ordered one immediately well the rest gladly is history as they say, although still sad to have let the old i40 go.

Well satisfied with the Tucson we're now looking towards the new N-Line version, sorry for the long story on this Jeff, once again many thanks for your kind comments, take care.

Regards.....John.

Out & about around Bassenthwaite & Keswick on the 17th January 2023, some shots of Bassenthwaite Lake, Skiddaw & surrouding area with slight snow & frost covering, taken from a lay-bye on the A66.

Popped up to Derwentwater Keswick today 23rd January 2023 on my way home from delivering our Will to Penrith to catch his train back to College, couldn't resist a few shots of a very dramatic skyline quite dull & overcast.

Compare these shots from ones taken a few days ago 17th January 2033 taken from Bassenthaite just a few miles West of Keswick, what a difference in the weather conditions a few days can make, not many Peeps out & about just a few of the local residents on the Lake.

I just love a dramatic cloud effect like this with a fair amount of silhouetting on the trees with a scattering of the local wildlife thrown in for good measure, beautiful tranquility itself.

Wonderfull, those birds standing each looking in the right perspective direction, great. Could maybe use a bit more brightness? Love the image from "the island", thank you again for sharing.

Take care,

Cheers from Holland,

Emiel
