Default ZT-T boot release button question

The boot has a electric catch and the button is covered over in the footwell where the switch goes to open the boot from the inside. Is the wiring there behind? So all I would need to do is fit the switch?

It was a project drive cost cutting measure

14th November 2002 / from VIN 271850 – 75 & ZT Tourer
The tailgate remote switch situated on the lower A post on all tourers was deleted, and replaced with a blanking plug.

For a period after the above date, cars were still pre-wired, so pull off the trim and take a look behind, you might find a cable sitting there, depending on the age of the car.
