air bag warning light the favourite
Am i right in assuming that if i cut off the yellow plug under the seat and reconnect the wires using a connector block i should solve the problem of the warning light coming on every time the drivers seat is adjusted,i know that is the cause as if you wiggle the wire underneath the seat the light will go off many thanks Sean

Yep. Lots of us have done this. Just make sure you disconnect the battery 15-30 mins before you start work, as you don't want to accidentally set off the airbag in the seat or the seatbelt pre-tensioners...
EDIT: the blue plug is for the seatbelt pre-tensioners, it can also cause the airbag light to come on, so replace that as well.

The car I have just purchased has had advisories for the last two MOT's ''Airbag light illuminated''
In many cases I just secure the plugs to the seat frame,it works as it did in this case. |
