Well, it’s finally happened the pair have been fined. It will be an interesting few days ahead.

I think the fine itself will be zero on account of the claimed financial hardship.

He must be livid given that he repeatedly said there was no parties and that he wasn't there and that it was a work meeting and that he didn't know it was a party and that no rules had been broken.

He’s a party animal, how could he not recognise one? He’s put it behind him, not too sure about Sunak, not sure he’s the same kind of serial liar. If he has doubts about his chances of succeeding BoJo, I think he might go.

We've done nothing but focus on the conduct of the government for the past 2 years or so. We get the politicians we deserve is it any wonder they act the way they do? Any half decent individual wouldn't touch the role with a barge pole.

Meanwhile the world burns and this is the best we have to offer.

I'm no fan of BoJo but as politicians go, those two are not terribly, terribly bad. That is if one ignores Merkel, Bill Clinton plus a few others and recognises ones own place in the pecking order which is near the bottom.
