Default New car time

Well possibly.
I'm picking up my sister in law's 2001 MINI one next week.
It's really for my son but I will have it until he sells his Clio.
It's got a clear MOT, FSH and only 67k on the clock. Quote excited by it if truth be told

Very possibly, bottom line is that it's up to the boy.
He wants something more interesting than his Clio
The MINI has been looked after ( but not kid gloves lol). Either way it's always fun getting a new car

You may be pleasantly surprised Simon.
Swapped our ZTT last April for a 2016 MINI……..wasn’t sure I was doing the right thing but, it’s turned out to be a fantastic wee car.
Even the early ones have a good reputation. It will be a fun drive and should be reasonably reliable.
There’s a growing interest in the early Y, 51 and 52 plate MINIS.

Enjoy!

My son had a 2010 Mini One First bought off a friend of mine at work. The First was the lowest of the low powered Minis but it was a great little car, still quite torquey as it’s the same Cooper engine just strangled a bit but rode and handled beautifully. Really quite disappointed when he chopped it in for a C4.

I had a R56 mini a couple of years back and loved mine, it was only a 1.4 but it was so much fun to drive. Would have another one in a heartbeat.

A friend of mine had a bright yellow mini cooper (think it was the R53) and he loved it, I rode in it a couple of times and certainly wouldn't swap anything from my fleet for it but it's horses for courses. I hope you enjoy your temporary acquisition and it proves a good car for your son.

I’ve had a Mini Cooper for work not so long ago. Great fun! Made in nearby Swindon, definitely an option when the acceptable Rover 25s dry up…

This one if memory serves is now living out its retirement as part of a display team at Elvington airfield.
