Default V6 Manual Starter Motor Issue

Dear All
I hope you are all well.
Just had the breakdown guy out to look at my car.
Starter motor wouldn't turn over when you turn the ignition key, He put the ar on his sloping pick up truck, reversed it off and it burst into life!
Got the car home and have worked out where the starte motor is situated.
I know a common fauls are either a loose wire on the solenoid or the solenoid itself. Just bought the £13 repair kit off ebay, has anybody got a how to set of instructions?
Best wishes to all
Bob

Hi Bob.
Although the link below is for a diesel starter motor the petrol V6 is just the same sequence, when it come to changing out the contacts and plunger, therefore should help you.

Default Fixed Starter Motor

Dear All
Thank you for all the advice and starter now fixed, bought parts off ebay, striped down the solnoid, very worn, all nice and shiny now and working as it should! 10 minute fix, just dont lose the large jubilee clip down the back of the engine when it pops out when you pull up the air filter!!

Thank you,
Bob Walker
