all season tyres
anyone tried AVON AS7 all season tyres ? im thinking of buying a set but do you compromise in both winter and summer application ... i have never tried them... cannot be masters of both i would have thought. noise decibels seem reasonable but you never can tell until fitted.

Look at the recent cracking tyres thread on the technical section, will give you some help.

I've got a pair on the back of my Jag, so far done about 5,000 miles with them and they've been fine in all weathers.

did you get much noise from these ? my last set of summer tyres were dunlops with rim protectors on the sidewalls, and cost me £131 each. most noisey tyres by far i have ever had fitted. cracks put the end to them. ...

I used to get through a set a year on the ZT, which was around 13,000 miles, whatever brand I fitted. These are looking like they'll last longer than that at the moment. |

I've had a set of Michelin Cross-Climates on the other family car - Vauxhall Astra Sports Hatch - for the last five years and still plenty of tread on them. They just don't wear out. Good year-round performance too.

I'm a big fan of Finland's Nokian Weatherproof All Season tyres. They perform very well, wear well, not to expensive (though mine are 195/15") and have them fitted on both the 75 and a Croma. Not widely known or available but could be worth a look.
