Maybe they're just a bl00dy awful fireman! Does the driver storm into the supervisor's office back at the depot

LOL I had a "proper fireman" on this scenario. Yeah you're right Steve, Reading from other players it was a mistake by the developers but they left it in as a.......What would you do in this situation type thing.

I'm on freight duties tonight in a Stanier 8F taking freight wagons from Widnes to Speke yard. Those yards back in the day were absolute monsters. The one at Crewe is absolutely enormous. I took some screenshots of the lay outs of Speke & Crewe yards but Begger knows which folder on the PC I put them in

Cool

Morning everyone.

Sunny start to the day.

I went as planned to the butchers in Par Market as planned. I bought roughly the same as if I had been going to the Tamar Meat Company here in Saltash. I generally buy enough meat to last me over a month, as I buy fish as well. And I worked it out that I had saved £26. Round trip of 52 miles, so a gallon and a bit used. Still quids in.

Going to get the rest of the shopping today.

Bleddy Greenfly I'm collecting dozens of the blighters off my Lupin flowers & throwing them onto the multitude of spiders webs around the garden, It's giving me a lot of satisfaction watching them get wrapped up for a later meal by the spiders The rest get a soapy death with the spray bottle The comfrey & stinging nettle tea have been fermenting for the past month & the stink tells me they're ready to be decanted into 2 ltr milk containers It's Cucumber potting on day today too.

Barbie out, fully cleaned. Searched the shed for the correct gas regulator (choice of propane, butane, euro and Calor!) and all set up for teatime! All the sharps hidden from grandson and food prep on the way. Quick stop to try and spot some of the "flypast" flying overhead and enjoying the sunshine (where was it when I started painting the fence?).

Morning folks,

It would appear that embedded Youtube videos are working again on this site when using a Safari browser.

So just testing it out.......

Morning all, It's raining here. We had the usual clowns letting off military grade fireworks gone 3:00am I dare say we'll have to put up with that for the whole weekend.

Morning. Up for the 2nd time again, up at five coz Ging is dayshift.

Got two 2" square batons from my neighbour yesterday, the acer pot is now surrounded with four stakes about 12-18" into the ground with the ratchet strap around them, ain't going anywhere now. Wrists are aching after pounding them in with a 4lb hammer.

Yep, Millerhill at Edinburgh wasn't as big as some but still huge, biggest we used to work into was Kingmoor at Carlisle, it was vast. Back in those days it was 95% individual wagon loads that had to be made up into trains or trains arriving were split up to go to smaller local yards.

All that's left at Millerhill is a fraction of the up yard used by Scotrail for stabling units. DRS is based at Carlisle and they have a large loco depot at Kingmoor but very little of the yards are used.
