Thank you mates!
It's very kind of you.
I'm already watching BBC One / BBC News thanks to my large dish not to miss anything of Trooping the Colour.
It's for me too a special day because when she was delivered of her baby boy Mum sent a letter to HM the Queen congratulating her about her coronation and telling her she was very proud as a British gentleman's daughter to get a boy on that very day and asking for an autograph...
As second and third names, I was given Charles like my British granddad Charles Davis and George like patron saint of England.

And she was utterly delighted when she received an answer with Windsor castle seal by the first lady-in-waiting, no autograph unfortunately (the Queen wasn't allowed to) but a kind message and a commemorative medal I'm wearing today around my neck...
Am I more royalist than the queen?

Happy Birthday Arnauld and many happy memories on this special day, thank you very much for sharing them with us. By coincidence a brother in law finished his army career in the Welsh Guards as Equerry to the Prince of Wales, another BIL his dad was financial advisor to the Queen Mother and his brother is a working peer. A nephew has been to Buckingham Palace 3 times to have tea with the Queen. Not sure if we are royalists or not but we do appreciate everything the Queen has done for the UK and the commonwealth.

Have a fabulous day

I omitted to say that the mast was raised with the Union Jack in front of our home...
And here are the royal gifts my deeply missed and beloved Mum was given in June 1953...
I proudly wore today the medal in remembrance...

Cheers!
