When I had my first ZS180 bought it at 13,000 miles in 2004, I sold it with 243,000 miles on it to my son as I wasn't using it any more a few years later.
Was a very reliable engine and couldn't fault it at all with the exception of oil getting into the throttle housing and leaking into the air filter

[QUOTE=Dorchester2;2929488]I've heard about several kv6 2.5 still in good condition which have exceeded 300,000 km (around 190,000 miles) here in France.
Provided it is well cared for and regularly serviced there's no problem at all. Mine is a 193,000 km autobox, drives a treat & in brilliant condition and I hope I'll die before her! /QUOTE]I agree, these are a very robust engines provided the maintenance is kept up. I changed over the engine and auto trans to synthetic oil several years back and have done the timing chains, water pump, aux. belt, and keep a close eye on the cooling system. At 100,000Km it runs strong, loves to rev and shows no signs of oil burning, leaks or odd noises. I have also removed the plastic engine cover to lower the heat retention on the engine components. I fully agree. A regular service that is all about. Moreover mine is garaged & kept dry and safe, bonnet open and battery permanently connected to a automatic charger. BTW I've noticed the place where you're living and I deeply wish you to get out of that ordeal ASAP.

Yes she's regularly driven once a fortnight at least on good months, and once a month in the bad season, mainly for cruising on medium and long distances. She's so comfy! Then around 7k km (4k mls) a year or so.
