Big shop done at ASDA

& more importantly a fresh supplies of Henry's

Been to get some more compost & bagged farmyard manure for the plants too

Car stunk so that's been cleaned & now on charge getting some electrons

The window box needs emptying as it's all root bound same as the wrought iron wheelbarrow planter. Just emptied the soil out of the wheelbarrow & gave it a wire brushing & blasting with the power washer, Looking at the paint stores in the shed it looks like it's going to be a dark green colour instead of black

Cooked our roast dinner today as yesterday there was too much sport to watch

So yesterday 3 mechanics arrived in their Evo. Edgar, Mac and Jeffrey did the service okay, but have to return next weekend to replace the tailgate lock and the mechanism of one of the bi-folding mirrors sticking.

The parts: brake pads front and rear had to come from Japan, including delivery £188. The oil 5W 30 10L was £67, coolant oil filters long and short, air filter/cleaner everything came to £345 and Labour £100 but the guys said to pay them in full next week end after the work has been completed. The parts have already been paid for.

Even though the mechanics work for Kia, Labour is cheap in comparison to the UK I wonder what it would have cost in the UK at a garage.

This morning I am back behind the wheel since coming out of hospital and it will be a treat. I am taking the 4x4 in for wheel balancing and alignment checks. Hopefully that will be it for a while.

£100 labour, over here that probably 2.5 hours at an independent, less than an hour for Mercedez Benz as last I heard they were at £120 per hour.

Fingers crossed no more bills for a while Phil.

History of the Sunspot ZT’s. No.1. V6 190 failed it’s MOT in 2011 and is still rotting on the driveway. Owner refuses to sell. No.2 160. Fate unknown. No.3 160, is my car. No.4 CDTi. Sold in 2020 for £7,500. 23,500 miles on the clock. 1 MG ZTT. 180 and is alive and well. Lives in and around the Portsmouth area. 1 Rover 75. 120 model. Fate unknown.
