![]() Morning Bob, morning Jeff and guests
How is everyone? This morning I am expecting the mechanics to arrive and carry out a main service on the 4x4, change all of the brake pads and service the door locks and bi-folding electric mirrors. |

![]() What are your plans for the day? How is your Audi going? So yesterday 3 mechanics arrived in their Evo. Edgar, Mac and Jeffrey did the service okay, but have to return next weekend to replace the tailgate lock and the mechanism of one of the bi-folding mirrors sticking. The parts: brake pads front and rear had to come from Japan, including delivery £188. The oil 5W 30 10L was £67, coolant oil filters long and short, air filter/cleaner everything came to £345 and Labour £100 but the guys said to pay them in full next week end after the work has been completed. The parts have already been paid for. Even though the mechanics work for Kia, Labour is cheap in comparison to the UK I wonder what it would have cost in the UK at a garage. This morning I am back behind the wheel since coming out of hospital and it will be a treat. I am taking the 4x4 in for wheel balancing and alignment checks. Hopefully that will be it for a while. |
