Cool

Evening everyone.

Ham salad for dinner for a change.

Hoping Banana will be home tomorrow. The garage are short staffed with two of the mechanics testing positive with Covid.
Very doubtful that I’ll be attending POL. Too far to take the Bear with the current fuel prices. I’ll need a tank full to get there and a tank full to get home.

Rounding the evening off with a couple of Inches, that don’t sound right I know. But Inches is a cider.

Good morning Jeff and welcome to the day.

Interestingly, the dosage for heart failure was approved in March this year at 10mg

The cardiologist gave me a special warning about this drug.

He said because it forces glucose to be excreted in the urine, it’s vital I carry a bottle of water with me and use it to wash the tip of the man hood after each time of passing urine.

Apparently urine with glucose left unwashed on the man hood can cause Candida fungus and cheese to grow creating more problems.

Your on a much higher dosage.

Jeff, from your experience with this medication, do you wash your man hood after every pee?

Is there anything else I need to know?

Morning Richard and welcome to the day.

We haven’t really chatted about your hospital treatment/admission for dehydration. Whilst you were there, would you have been seen by the duty psychiatrist in A&E to check you out.

Thank goodness the dehydration was sorted and after discharge you got home and back into a routine which was working for you

Do take care.

Don’t worry about me, I will be fine. Heart failure does not mean the heart will stop, it means it doesn’t work so well, a set back but we can both pull through our problems, chin up!

Morning all.

Rich, you're surrounded by a loving family and loads of friends. Good for you to let us know you're having a bit of a duff day. That'll change. We're here to help you make it happen. Take care.

To those on new meds - hope they do their job without too many side effects. I carry a water bottle is in case Quizzie needs a drink

And to those that were wondering about the 5th birthday party yesterday - here they are:

It was Hansen's birthday - he's the one with the blue rosette in his collar - you'll have to look closely . Quizzie is the one not doing as she's asked () looking at "boyfriend" Bertie and past him to her partner in crime, Bridget.

And then time to get wet and have a tug of war

POL tomorrow - Catch up with some of you there. Sorry to hear that you won't make it Bob.

Take care everyone.

Morning Phil,

Sorry late on here today.
Been busy sorting out a change of Admin on our Flickr group for our camera club.
Sadly the member who was Admin for the group passed away at the beginning of the year.
He was the sole Admin and meant that we could not control it. As a committee member for the club it fell to me to deal with Flickr to change it.
This meant sending an obituary to the Flickr team to prove the member is no longer with us.
I've now been promoted to Admin and we will elect one other committee member to share that roll. That means that should this ever happen again, the club will have in place another Admin to retain control over the group and not get locked out!

Anyhow, back to your question.

Yes pretty much to what you have said, I was told that you will pee out about 300 calories a day (which is useful) and you will be more suseptible to things like thrush. So, good hygiene and keeping stuff like canesten cream very useful. One of the other things I have found is more problems with dry skin so I also have moisturiser etc.
Being diabetic I'm always aware of being dehydrated so I drink lots of fluid during the day.
I've been on this medication for two years now supplementing my Metformin, Gliclazide, Ezetimbe (alternative to statins) and Ramipril!

You don’t fancy a bit of colonic irrigation then?
