Overcast, quite bright and dry here.

Positively tropical compared to Andy at a whopping 5 degrees .

Yesterday I was building a bed frame for MIL's fancy electric bed for when she comes out of hospital. Those with a good memory might remember that she fell and broke her hip on 31st January and she's still in after some other unrelated stuff was found. Oh, and now she's got COVID but seems to be OK and on the mend.

Got the local B&Q to cut the 18mm MDF sheets to size which was all good. Unfortunately SWMBO likes "invisible" joinery - shelves with no visible brackets, cabinets & boxes with no visible screw heads etc. So, no visible screws despite protestations that it won't be structurally sound if screwing through the corner timbers (that are also the weight bearing supports for the bed itself ) into the MDF rather then through the MDF and into the wood.

Glued & screwed to try and overcome some of the issues but, guess what, two of the corners have split out and now require remedial work. . I can think of some other uses for Ian's new toy and I'm now all experienced with sharp stuff you can throw

Morning all,

Fairly new member here but have had a lot of use with how-to guides etc on the site already.

Been browsing a bit more over the last couple of days as, like everyone else it seems, I'm off work with Covid. Nothing serious, just like a very heavy cold but hopefully it'll clear up over the next few days.

The lucky thing is, working in a school, I avoided it completely for the previous two years and especially to get married three weeks ago, definitely a close call!

Thought you might like to see the 75 having been 'decorated.' My wife's family tradition is to let the kids help and it also included confetti all over the inside... Safe to say it was fully cleaned up so we could take it on honeymoon to the Lakes.

Bootiful warm morning here now Just been and shuffled around ASDA for some essentials & you've always had to run the gauntlet of aggressive beggars/homeless people at the main door on any given day but more today than I've seen before


Daughter has been using our car & still not got the gist of this charging malarkey/planning ahead for the next day & left the car with just under 20% in the battery pack despite me telling her how best to go about it, It's been sat in the driveway all night when it could have been plugged in & be fully charged in the morning

Me fingers look like I've been chain smoking Woodbines for the last 20 years I'm de-bagging a carrier bag full of used teabags fore the compost pile & thery've stained my fingers a orangey brown
