Is there anything better than a bowl of vegetable soup on a cold rainy day?

I'm making some pickled red cabbage but I've ran out of white vinegar because I used most of it with some bicarbonate of soda to de-stink the washing machine.
Off to ASDA for some.

That's the white vinegar sorted for the pickled cabbage I've got 12 proper Lancashire Hollands meat & potato pies in the freezer that have their name on the red cabbage Speaking of pies! I'm in a tizz today as my younger brother is in hospital today for surgery on his colon cancer, He's in Wigan hospital so I hope those pie eaters are doing a good job

Afternoon all, the course was a refresher for training, as I have to train the new apprentices I have to do a refresher every few years.

A well presented course, plenty of coffee and cakes! Always a winner in my book.

As promised.

It's been a bit wet here:

Just to give an idea of scale, I can walk under this bridge in the summer and, if wearing wellies, not get wet feet.

Quizzie just loves what gets washed up...

She likes to pull stuff out but not even she can manage sticks this big .

And as for a course with drinks and cakes. Well, that's a good way to get folks on board .

Cool

Today has not been a good day.

News has arrived from across the border that two very good friends have taken the hands of the angels. One in a car accident, t’other natural causes.
Knocked the wind right out of my sails as they were both younger than me.

Morning Bob, I am sorry to hear about the passing of your two friends who were younger than you, how very sad for you and their families, our condolences.
