Try cb750chris David, he's in Fareham.

By the way, your profile says you have a V8.

Indeed I do. My first 75 was a v6, really nice car. Sold for no good reason other than a replacement to the original silencer did the complete booming opposite. It became a depressing drive. Soooo, spotted a v8 (rather different in manner), decided I didn't need two saloons and sold the v6. A couple of diesel tourers later I still hanker after a v6; preferably a tourer, if one can be found or a saloon if not. It's a while since I've needed v6 specialist knowledge and Rover 75 garages are pretty thin on the ground nowadays.

Hi David,

Thanks for the explanation. So your enquiry about a V6 cambelt change is just in readiness for when you do find a V6 to buy, have I got that right?

'tis so. I don't mind doing a bit of fettling here and there but I know my limitations. Which increase with every passing year.

Simon has done belts on these before if you ask him nicely he might do it for you and if you want I have the genuine locking tools you could borrow

Rather than starting a new thread, I thought I would add my request to this one.

Same job, but I live in Shropshire. Any recommended workshops/individuals who could do the job, Wales/West Mids/North West? My car has the KV6 engine like the OP.

Any pointers gratefully received!
