This is in my run around Diahatsu, as my 75 is a diesel.
It depends on location but I expect the "labelling" of pumps was done in advance as the start date was supposed to be September (3 weeks ago in my neck of the woods). Maybe some areas brought that forward?

It was in the last couple of weeks I'm sure. Basically someone knew the designer/team leader or whatever at Rover. Apparently Rover was ahead of the game and designed the 75 (and possibly other models) to run on E10, as it was a fuel available abroad at that time.
I'd like to take a copy of this comment to my local garage as they are interested in this, but I've searched and can't find it.

If it's true it's fantastic news

My 3 LHD Rovers - 1999 75 V6 2.5, 2002 25 1.4 & 1994 214i cab - are fuelled up in France with full E85 (ron 105) respectively since 4 years, 4 years & 2 years without the slightest detrimental effect, so what might be the trouble and hassle with that E10??? Why all that fuss???
My hoses are mint as well as the engines which work nicely, even better than before, and never ever I've used any other petrol than E10 since ages in any of my cars before using E85. On the continent E10 is now by a long chalk the most common petrol used by a vast majority of engines but the old carbureted ones.
You'll be pretty safe all day long & every day of the year with any E10 sold anywhere.

One thing they have not told the public the whole truth over is that E10 doesnt give as good mpg, so you will use more of it to get less mileage, basically putting the price up without putting the price up.

Not at all. The end of the world if there is a sheet of paper between E5 and E10 regarding mpg. Given the price difference, fuelling up with E10 you'll be the winner.

On the contrary mpg decrease is very true with E85: around 20/25% but in France E85 is worth 40% of E10 price!
TBH the difference becomes sensible between E20 & E50 and it's an exponential curve up to +25%: hence in the beginning it's about... peanuts!

With E85 my K engines are actually running... cooler!
I've monitored the coolant temperature with Torque Pro since 2017 in my KV6: it runs between 75° and 95°C, and around 80°C when cruising along.
Between E5 and E10 - once more - no sensible difference.

IMHO as said it is a carburetted engine thus no E10 but the least ethanol possible (old 95 ron) and possibly leaded additive if old 95 ron no longer available.
In France for his 1978 Renault 17 1.6 my younger son is using ron 98 without additive and the engine drives fine.
