Just wondering what mileage your car has covered? Perhaps it’s my diesel heritage, but it makes me screw my eyes up when 5-6000 revs are mentioned.

When I bought her she had 157k km so a tad less than 100k mis. Now she is 187k km or 116k mis. Three seconds at 6,4k revs it's not the end of the world. Everything has been serviced and verified everywhere since I bought her in Sep 2017.

Not that my commutes warrant cruise control anyways.🙄🙄

Wouldn't be without cruise control on a car since first getting a car with one about 6 years ago, its so relaxing.

Theres nothing quite like cruising along with both feet up on the dash either side of the steering wheel.

I fully agree.

BTW my try at 6,410 revs wasn't actually intended but I love learning how my engine is working, why and when, mainly since I've done the mods.
Hence it was just a test: now I know that sport mode + kick down can go up the rev limit according to the circumstances.
But it's true I don't need to bully my pride and joy.
Then in future CC + kick down look well enough to overtake and give a blissful drive.
However I must confess that the experiment was brilliant fun!
