Default Smiley plate.

My "smiley" plate is just starting to delaminate (21 years old!) so where to go for a good replacement with a Mk 1 type logo on it?

I've been looking for a replacement for mine as well. the best i can come up with is Angel plates

https://angelplates.net/

I like the idea of having a Rover logo as a badge to the left and they can use any image you supply.... within reason.

A few years old but these may help - i used Number one plates for my replacement smiley - At the time all 3 did Smileys for the 75/ZT.

http://www.demonplates.com/platebuilder.php -they list model specific Rover 75 including ZT.But be careful of these guys as some customers have had trouble with quality and legality regarding the BNMA plate specifications.

Suspect that this company are the same as Angelplates. the photo of the fixing kits they supply is identical, although mirror imaged.

As a temporary measure, I removed the plate and found that the (grey) rear of the backing plate was bubbled on and around the numbers. I pricked a small hole on the corner of each letter and gently heated each bubble in turn, whilst pushing the bubble towards the pinprick. The bubbles vented out and the heat seemed to reinvigourate the adhesive. The result was that most of the delamination has almost disappeared, so the plate is now readable again. I'll see how it goes on at MOT time as I do like to keep it original if I can.
