We know it can't be cured, but arresting its progress is the next best thing. Radiotherapy is not deemed useful - which I think was a relief - some of the side effects can be pretty horrible. For the time being, it's a case of getting on with life. To that end, we've just booked a 4 bedroom bungalow near Scarborough for a long weekend in early December. Me and the missus, son, daughter-in-law, two grandbairns - and of course, big sister - are going to spend a few days being a family out in the sticks with a few different walls to look at for a while.
Thank you to all who posted their best wishes today - they are appreciated
The worst part of the day was getting from the hospital car park to the main road - one and a half hours for approx. 250 yards in the persisting rain - and that was after I got soaked walking to the car park in the first place
Better news then.

A break even just a few miles away will be a change for you all.

Traffic sounds horrid to say the least.

Morning all from a cold and breezy North Yorkshire - pretty close to frost last night I think.
I'm on the moderately early school run this morning - leave the house at 6.50am and get back home eventually around 9.30am for breakfast.

Morning Rod,

Just going through some of the photos of Freddie I have.
This one brings back memories of a lovely day at the seaside

Cool

Morning all from overcast Balsall Common.

Off for breakfast, then "Grovey" needs a clean and then it's waiting for the rest of the team to arrive before setting off to the NEC.

Blimey - I look 8 months gone on there - must have been the pie we had for lunch.
As you say Jeff - a lasting memory of a good day out.

Good morning all dark dank & dreary here and a tad cooler of late.

That's good news about your sister Rod.
