Default CD Changer compatibility

Sorry to hijack this area of the forum for this question, but I do not seem to be getting much of a response over in the I.C.E. section.

Here is my original question:
Right folks.
Upgrading headunit from Harmony to Symphony  but I'm unsure (well, pretty sure that it wont, actually) if the Sony CD changer (OEM fitted) in the glovebox will work with the Symphony unit.

I realise the current leads wont do and I will need to buy leads to wire the Symphony to the cars audio loom. BUT, can I buy a lead to get the Symphony unit to talk to the Sony changer or do I need to buy an Alpine compatiable CD changer too (which will most probably be an Alpine changer IIRC)

Just to recap:
Current set up = Harmony HU + Sony CD + OEM adapter
Ideal (low cost) = Symphony HU + Sony CD + new adapter
Most probably (more money) = Symphony HU + Alpine CD + new adapter

Thanks in advance folks!

No problem posting here Simon, I'm stunned that you haven't had one reply to this. Unfortunately I have non standard stuff installed by a third party in mine thus I have no idea about the MGR kit so cannot be of any help.
Lets keep this thread near the top and hopefully one of the experts will reply.

If your Sony Changer works with the Harmony via an adaptor then it should work with the Symphony using a different adaptor. See:

http://www.connects2.com/c2search.as...=226&modID=547

as far as I can see you need this:

CTARVS009 Connects 2 CD Adapter - Sony
Rover 75
Alpine
XQD101043PUY Symphony High Line (ISO Block)
