Default '04/54 75 CDTi Connoisseur SE auto in silver **SOLD**

For sale - £3400 o.n.o.

’04/54 Rover 75 CDTi Connoisseur SE automatic in silver. It is the “facelift” model with head and dip beams both behind the same lens. All the usual SE luxuries: electric memory heated leather seats with headrests, leather interior, electric windows, parking sensors, radio control on steering wheel, climate control, power steering, ABS, airbags, child locks, remote central locking with 2 keys, illuminated mirrors on sun visor backs, electric mirrors, alloy wheels, electric boot lid release, spare space saver wheel, low mileage, . . .
MOT to February 2012. I’m disabled, so the road “tax” is not transferrable.
No rust, but there are a couple of minor marks on the paintwork. Interior clean and bright: no sign that it has ever been smoked in! Good quality tyres with plenty of tread.

First registered 28.02.2005

47,000 miles from new

As I understand it, this car was owned by MG Rover and used as a Company car for a year, at which point it was seized by the liquidators. It was stored for a year, then sold at auction to the dealer who sold it to me. I bought it on 30.08.2006

It has the usual detuned BMW diesel engine, and I employed Angel Tuning to remap the ECU to raise the output from the 135 it claims on the door pillar to about 150hp. They are willing to put it back as it was, should you require it. Other than this, the car is unmodified.

I bought my previous Rover 75 from the local MG Rover main agent called W G Brand, in Whaplode Drove (I’m in Wisbech, Cambs) and though they now sell Chevrolet cars (!) they still have the equipment and expertise to maintain Rovers. They service it once a year - I have all the invoices pertaining to the vehicle. It has had new pads and discs all round: they have followed the MG Rover service system fully, including changing such things as the pollen filter and door key batteries. The service is due in February. 12 months' MOT.

It has been looked after with a view to keeping it for some years, but I have come across a 75 with the old burr walnut dash, and cruise control . . . .

Lovely car seen pic´s of the interior looks perfect!! Its a shame i have to pay 1500 Euro tax on the car to get it on Dutch plates because it´s so new

Default import tax

Are you sure? The father of an English friend of mine has retired to France, but likes English cars. Apparently he has taken five there over the years. He buys a car in England, then just gets on the ferry and goes home: after six months of driving with UK plates, he registers it with his Local Authority, and everyone seems to be happy.
Over the next few days I will have the car valeted, take some more pictures to post on the site, and get a new MOT. Then if it doesn't sell on the forum I'll advertise it elsewhere: I want the money to put towards another '75 . . . .

Yes Alan, on my car a rover 75 tourer cdt 2002 they paid 11.531 Euro bpm tax when it was new.
When you import a car, its every year approx 10% les.
On your car its about 85 % discount on the tax, and that leaves 1500 euro what still needs to be paid.
As far as the plates it's not allowed to drive with foreign plates in the Netherlands They closes there eyes for the import drive (border -> home) bud not for daily rides. Then you get a ticket for driving with foreign plates and you have to pay the tax and 100% on top

So your car becomes interested from about 3000 euro then i have to pay tax 1500-1600 registration fee, plates 200, trip to collect the car and headlights change then its more then 5000 euro!! A lhd wich is simmular to yours will cost here approx 7000 euro

Bud then i have a rhd car and these are hard to sell unless they are under 2000 euro so i have to keep him for 3-5 years that's why they are not so popular here in the Netherlands.

I will get a new MOT for it this week. It is now advertised elsewhere, so may be withdrawn from this sale at any time.
