Default "Rare" ZT-T 180 Monogram. **NLA**

ZT-T 180 + in Typhoon.

Its a nice car, but my wife can't get on with it, so it isn't getting the use it should.

167k on the clock, and what appears to be a FSH.

I am not an expert, but everything on this car apears to work. *Highline stereo, ESR, climate control, cruise, elec seats, driver info system and I guess more but I am no expert.

Bad points. *Stone chips, and a worn drivers seat bolster. *

The Straights *could do with a referb.

SS exhaust fitted, (Not to my taste but others love it.) and there is a hairpin spare.

Just had a new battery. MOT until next feb. *Tax till I think Nov.

Interesting history too. *According to experts on this site, its the last of 17 MKI cars made like this. *With the high spec, could this car have a unique spec?

Its on BX factory plates, with Press Garage stamp in the history.

I have been told it was built for one of the bosses of MGR. *Sold on, bought by someone then the guy I bought it off. *He is a member here.

A guy near me has offered me 2K for it. *The problem is, he wants it for parts.

She's too good to part out. *I just can't use her as much as I like.

I'd rather sell to someone who's not going to break her or banger race her.

So with this guy offering 2K, I am looking for offers under that.

The car is near Newcastle.

Posting from my ipad. It won't let me post images. Please PM me an email address and I'll send them.

If I were you I'd take the £2k being offered regardless of it being broken up.

I seem to have acidentaly logged onto the MG Rover destruction society
He is trying to save a rare car and is willing to take a loss doing it,
Best of luck. Wish I could help but funds wont stretch that far.

Take a loss - errr ok but this car was advertised here for £1500 ono only six months ago by its previous owner - so what would you do if someone offered at least £500 over the buying price? That is of course if the £2k offer is a genuine one.

I have no reason to question the sellers integrity, unless there is something i dont know

Granted 2k is a high offer for a car you intend to break, especialy with that many miles on the clock, but maybe if you had one the same colour with pannel damage it might be worth it to save the cost of a re-spray.
Stranger things have happened.

Perhapse i got the wrong end of the stick regarding the posts I quoted, It just suprised me that there was seemingly so much enthusiasm for breaking such a rare example.

As I said, I'd take offers under that 2k figure.

I'm not sure how genuine the guy was. Don't like to make generalisations about people, but I don't think he stays in one place very long. Very much a "cash businessman".

Offers under means just that.

I don't like the throw away culture of binning nice cars. Especially an endangered breed like the ZT/75, I understood this place was full of like minded people. I was clearly mistaken.

Perhaps i't be better to crush it, not even strip it for bits. Turn it into an interesting coffee table. But that would be an act of spite, and I prefer to go through life making people happy.

At the sort of pocket money prices our cars go for, it's not about profit. I'm not desparate to make a couple of hundred quid or whatever.

The car is for sale, for further use, to be enjoyed and appreciated further.

Offers under 2K. If you aren't interested, kindly jog on to the next thread. If you are interested, PM me.
