Asda synthetic oil- any good?
Hi- Was in asda today and noticed they are selling 5w-40 fully synthetic for £20 for 5 litres. it is compliant with ACEA A3/B3. Anybody any info as to whether this will be as good as the premium brands. I'm guessing that they get it from one of the big multinationals and put it in their own bottle and as its A3/B3 it needs to be to a set standard. i was thinking of buying three bottles so that I could get two oil services for £30 a time- Any thoughts on how good this stuff is?- Thanks

I used it at my last service and its been fine.....cant really say anymore no better or worse than anything else ive used before
As you say, Asda havent got their own refinery so they will be rebranding someone elses oil....and again it meets the spec, However this with our discount comes out at £18 including delivery http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/ca...71&0&1&cc5_248
