but yes Skrillex and gorillaz are 00's stuff! Banging tracks and very good for sub systems!

I think I had my dub plate for dance with beat made in 1999 and its irreplaceable and dub plates don't like heat very much, I remember knocking over a par can on a DJ set and it just touched a dub plate and it shrivelled up! (I don't think vinyl or CD's would take heat much for that matter)

1. Nirvana - In Utero
2. The Verve- Urban Hymns
3. The Prodigy - Fat of the Land
4. Badly Drawn Boy - The Hour of the Bewilderbeast
5. Turin Brakes - The Optimist LP

These are the first 5 I thought of. Could choose countless others if I really thought about it

From the days when albums were vinyl and called LP's:

1. Roy Buchanan (1st Album) 1972
2. Roy Buchanan (2nd Album) 1973
3. Roy Buchanan That’s What I am Here For 1973
4. Roy Buchanan Hot Wires 1987

5. As a reserve, and to dispel any accusations of favouritism:

E.C. Was Here /Eric Clapton 1975 (The best cover I have ever seen, both ffrroonntt and bbaacckk).

Going for a lie down now.

I'm another for generally just listening on random play in the car - If I had to pick 5 albums - current choices might be ...

  • Tragic kingdom-No Doubt
  • Tango in the night - Fleetwood Mac
  • Homelands - Ellis Beggs and Howard
  • Dustbowl - Joe Bonnamassa (but could easily be Sloe Gin)
  • Clutching at Straws -Marillion
Seeing as the CD changers in our cars actuall hold 6 CDs (when using a changer ) I'm having another....
  • Mutter - Rammstein
And just restrincting to six means no Ozzy Osbourne, no Oysterband, No 50s Rock 'n' Roll (various artists)....

it's a tough call and the above are just what are currently going around my head (mostly).

As I'm currently putting together a retro hi-fi system I've been revisiting a lot of my old stuff and enjoying them once more.
  • David Bowie - Diamond Dogs (Cassette)
  • John Martyn - Solid Air (vinyl)
  • Sugar Cubes - It's It (CD)
  • Shelleyan Orphan - Helleborine (vinyl)
  • Everything but the Girl - Temperamental (CD)

Reckon I could carry a lot more out of a burning building or at least die trying.
