No power to washer pump
I have a zt-t 54 reg
I have a problem with my washers back and front. i have checked the fuse no.4 and have realised after taking the fuse box off that it is not fused there i now know it is run by the BCU and do not want to play around with that to much. my thinking is that it is not the bcu as everything else works on the car. I have looked for broken wires just above the pump as-well. i have put a test meter on the two pump wires and something happens the meter reacts witch means nothing to me as i do not know how to use one. i also know that the two wires have different signals sent down them for different operations of the pump. So i am now thinking of running new wires to the pump and putting a switch in. If anyone can help with my problem it would be appreciated. rob Last edited by octopush; 17th March 2013 at 21:28.. |

IIRC the ZT-T uses the washer switch to reverse the polarity of the motor to wash the rear windscreen, There was a thread about this not so long ago, turned out to be the arm on the steering wheel ;0 Do a search you should find it

After reading that thread i had a look at the wiper arm and hay presto one of the plugs had come out plunged it in and all working now.
Over the last week i have had my car apart looking for this problem. I am so glade to be part of this site now and hope to be able to help others as they have helped me now. A big thank you from me. |
