Default No wonder they get called Halfrauds.

Headlight bulb went on the 75 on they way back from South Queensferry last night so popped into Halfords .

£11 for a basic bulb .

At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.

I've got a trade card so I pay pennies from halfords. I don't know why people moan anyway, it's a big company that want big profits so the charge big. It's nothing new but people always still seem to be shocked when things cost so much.

I bought a H7 bulb the other day from the factors for £4! Halfords is hideously expensive!

Four pounds seems to be the going rate in the factors.

Distress purchases are rarely good value for money.

As someone else said the trade cards are very good. you wouldn't believe the mark up on some stuff in there.

I sourced a selection of spare bulbs off eBay and kept in the boot just in case.

You should have done what half of the idiots round here do, just drive around with the bulb blown, and if you can't see too well just put your fog lights on!
Kudos to you for fixing it so promptly, not everyone does. I've had to stop two people in the last week alone whose brake lights have ALL failed. and have seen a few more with only the high level light working.
As for Halfords, I don't mind using them occasionally. They may be expensive, at times extortionate, but they're handy and conveniently open on Sundays and until 8pm, when ECP or the local factors are closed.
