rover ron chip
hi if i put a rover ron box on what else do i have to do to boost the power output.do i have to puy anything else onor is it just the box i have a 75 cdt tourer 116bhp how far will it go to thanks

yes you can just use the box on its own if you want.
most do the mkII intake mod as well though and add a EGR bypass, but there not needed if you want to leave the car looking standard

Also, as your car is the 116bhp variant, you can get the Xpower upgrade, it will raise it to 131bhp before you fit the Ronbox. Think it costs about £200 from Xpart dealers. Well worth it though judging by accounts from people who have had it done.
The with the ronbox and air intake mod you should be around the 150/155 bhp mark. |

hi do i need the xpart as well as the ronbox as i only need the extra for towing .so 131 will be ampel fpr the extra power to tow with

It's simple if you want more power, you pays the money to get it? If you are happy with 130+bhp you don't need to go further

go for the ron box, its cheaper, gives more power (148bhp on the CDT 116bhp car) and you can take it off when you sell the car and get some money back
