Rover 75 2.0 cdt movement on front wheels? ?
Hi all,
I have never known this on a car I have owned before but my 75's front wheels can be moved when parked up is this the norm ?? I can literally apply pressure with my foot on the front tyres and the wheels move a good 9 inches or so. Any advice please |

Did you not notice an increadibly loud banging as you went along the road as well? If you did then more than likely this is going to be a failed rear bush on the front lower arms. Do a search on wishbone bushes and learn all about it.

Yep wishbone bushes, put a wheel brace on and try and tighten the wheel bolts see if you get any movement of the wheel

Yeah that can happen with a very failed bushing as I've found out.

Plus it can put extra strain on the ball joint on the wishbone causing you to get a new one! expensive repair for something which could cost £35 to replace (if you do DIY)
