Seems to be quite reliable now, I assume no further problems JDC since I did the last upgrade?
And if you would stop jetting of to USA with your dual citizenship we may get it a bit quicker

Yes very funny Dave. It has been very reliable since a certain "Mod" blew it up, and you repaired it (not for the first time). I would like to add when I am off Stateside Dodo sends out to next on list and is getting very good at this now. Well trained in some areas you see. |

I found 3 faults with my VISs.
1) The solder joints on the microswitches were dry (cracked). Removed switches, cleaned surface of PCB and switch then glued back in applying superglue to one half and 'Hard As Nails' to the other half as I wasn't sure which was best in this instance. Resoldered joints. 2) Oil contamination in motors. No need to remove motor/gears from case. Sprayed plenty of Carb Cleaner through holes in motor using fine tube that is supplied with Carb Cleaner until it runs clear. Do it outdoors, wear eye protection and avoid inhaling spray. 3) Burnt out track on PCB. I have to own up to this one. Don't have a test box or loom connectors so powered motors by connecting VIS to car battery with individual test leads. When repeatedly swapping connections to drive motor in both directions accidentally connected to wrong pin and instantly vapourised copper track. No problem, soldered piece of insulated wire in place of burnt track and glued at a few points to secure. |
