I know its not a modern 75.
But my 1948 75 has only 53 ,000 miles on the clock and I am only the 4th owner.Wonder how many of our cars will reach the ripe old age of 66

Never owned a 'new' car either. Best I can claim is my current ZT. Im the 3rd owner (66,000 miles) of my 54 plate car.
First owner had it for about 7 years, then second around two and I will have had it 2 years In January. |

We ordered our car from G Kingsbury (oldest Rover dealer in the world!) in November 2001 and took delivery a month later in December. We owned it for 12 years before trading it in for a German Repmobile. I confess after 12 years of the same car I just wanted a change. We hung onto our MGF (also bought new from same garage) for 16 years. No need to worry about depreciation when you hang onto cars this long.
I confess I would never want a secondhand car - just buying someone else's problems and someone else's spec. I always have fun with the car sale man when they say you should have option "X" because it will increase the resale value. I always reply that I am speccing the car for me, not the next owner! The BMW sale man was very keen that I got the ethnic glass option and comedy wing mirrors - he lost.

Hi.
COA has an interesting history. It was originally a dealer demo, then it was sold to a Mr Myles in Cramlington during 2001. Mr Myles had it till he died then his son ran it for a while, he gave up with it and it was destined for the scrap yard in 2011, a friend of mine Michael Calvert (whose wife knew Mr Myles) also from Cramilngton rescued the car and put it on the road, I eventually got the car from Michael in 2012 in exchange for repairing a pre-war HMV 900 Television set. When we visited Mike in March he took some pictures of the car for Mr Myles widow!
