I thought it was only 20,000 anyway and they make no efforts generally anyway, other than sell them all off at Auction.

Steady John! we of the spanners and manuals told those upstairs months ago that it would be better to stage the introduction.....but they new best!!Now they want enginering to help them out when off shift!! we allready work 7 days, it will be very interesting to see what spin W.W. puts on this in our "Beano" on Thursday. Its the paying public and front line staff I feel sorry for and they hav'nt introduced the full long haul fleet to T5 yet, its a good job we are not flying the A380 at the moment.....how many bags there I wonder.Goodness knows what the city thinks of this at the moment, its such a shame because most of the staff really care, yet are out of the decision making loop.A sign at work..T5 THE NEW ERA...now reads T5 THE NEW ERROR.............says it all really.P.

Not the staff I'm blaming as you well know.
The Managers and Directors have no idea,
Lack of training for T5, nothing properly tested before hand, Insufficient Staff, Computer errors and Mechanical Defects which should have been tested under full capacity.
and now the Cancellation of rest of Transfers to T5 causing further problems for other Airlines.
The excuses given by BA and nothing mentioned on their Web Site about problems or an apology is an absolute disgrace.

BA has become a complete laughing stock and a Joke around the World in Newspapers, and TV Bulletins and Magazines.
What a way to run an airline.

The Poor Staff take all the Flak and they are in the Dark themselves.

BA have the Worlds worst record for lost Luggage as a % before all of this, Whatever next?

The shares will plummet but those in charge will still get their massive Bonuses.
So Obscene.

BA management have announced that T5 baggage handling will soon return to 'normal'...
So far 'normal' for T5 is 'losing' 28000 bags so presumably BA management are admitting there isn't going to be any change then?

I know it's not possible for most but I have never taken a flight anywhere in the world with more than hand luggage. It's amazing what can be crammed into a 17" X 13" X 7.5" Samsonite bag. Plus a coat or jacket over my arm.
My thinking is if it's not essential then why carry it, and queuing for baggage (which may not arrive) after a 12 hour flight is just the pits.

Wish there was a Tunnel to the US then i wouldn't have to fly all the time,
and I could travel in comfort in my 75.

Just realised I've hijacked your thread Mick,
Very sorry about that, Red card Please.
