Hi Gary,

I'm afraid I can't answer you as I have never tried changing the wallpaper for my own and I have an iPhone and the ring tone works normally for me .

Sorry but not much help from me I'm afraid .

Hopefully someone who has personalised the wallpaper will be along with an answer when they see this

Hi Clive,

I'm wondering if your navigation aerial has dislodged itself perhaps .

They have self adhesive bases on the later ones (previously magnetic) and it possibly could have unstuck itself and no longer on the top of the vents.

Only way of knowing would be to pull the radio out and check its location .

Yes - I wonder this as well Jeff - when I have time I will take the unit out and check. We have had som blisteringly hot weather of late and the "sticky" may have been compromised.

When I do this I may move the receiver up to the top of the windscreen- I appreciate it should not make a huge difference - but at least I can check the darn thing is up there if I can see it! Is the lead long enough? Any thoughts on the best route for the lead?

Interestingly - my trip to Andover day before yesterday did indeed give problems - again the iGo worked fine getting me there - but on leaving it just constantly searched for satellites. In fact yesterday morning it still would not lock onto satellites (lucky I have google maps on my iPhone) - but by mid morning it fired up ok and worked perfectly.

So I do think the issue could be MOD related

I had to disconnect the immobiliser on my old Discovery because "electronic stuff" from the MOD Pplaces round here would trigger it leaving me stranded. I find it more than coincidental that the areas where both my old immobiliser and my Star Sat Nav are one and the same.

Has anyone connected their Star to an HK sub?

Hmm, gets worse. Started the car yesterday and ended up with Chinese language. No more DAB radio. the app seems to have disappeared completely and also the satnav has completely gone too. I was able to change the language back to English but the rest has all gone.

OK at just over 8 months old and basically never receiving any technical feedback via this thread, I have given up on this one. Its coming out and will be replaced with something else.

Will post it for sale for much cheapness soon.
