Good morning all An early start today, up at 5 a.m to take Jessica to the airport for her flight back to Nairobi. A brother in law in Nairobi has no chance of being constipated, poor fellow has to have daily colonic washouts. His wife is a herbalist and it’s keeping her happy with the enemas that matters, such is the bliss of married life.... I am happy with a bowl of bran and a full English now and again

How is everyone?

Morning all - quite a sunny start here, but definitely a fair few degrees cooler. It's taking the sun until nigh on 9.00am now to get over the edge of the hills - Autumn is definitely here - loads of golden leaves off the trees too after yesterday's wind.
Doctors again today - SWMBO off for her 'healthy heart check' blood letting
I've revised my opinion on the weather after nipping out to the garage - it's NOT a "fair few degrees cooler" - it's decidedly COLD. Before long, SWMBO will be hinting that she would like the central heating switching on - aaaargh !!

Good morning Phil and Jessica - how are the pair of you - well I hope?
You haven't had an Indian Summer for your sojourn here this year - sorry!
I'm a full time visitor to NHS establishments it seems this year - what with my sister, my wife, my daughter, my sister-in-law and TWO nieces all being tested, treated or monitored by a variety of doctors and hospitals, I'm a very busy man

Good morning Rod and Angela Thank you for asking. Jessica is in great form. My aneurysms are being monitored. If they become dangerous, they will need to be repaired. There is no pain and I get on with life, otherwise I am in excellent health and count my blessings. We had a few days here of 30C and some rain. This morning the car was blasted clean in driving rain. I have not had to wash the V6 since Shiner washed it in July and it is still looking good.

Your having a very busy time Rod in caring for your sister and the family, keeping to the appointments and the treatments can’t be easy. At times it must be challenging. I think they are lucky to have you and I am sure your help and good humour is appreciated by all who love you

Cool

Home from the diabetes eye clinic. Allen came round and took me along, and as I had behaved myself, he brought me home. And bless him he fixed the door mirror on Redfive. The mirror would not adjust electrically. But a short blow with a 7lb hammer and all is well. The contacts just needed cleaning.

Got the all clear from the eye centre, they give you your results straight away, unlike those in Essex where you get the results 6 weeks later by letter.
So having an easy day today.

Take it that was the photograph that blinds you routine Bob! Had one a few weeks ago, all clear as well. I've managed to reduce my diabetes to a minor inconvenience, so much so that the diabetic specialist sees no point in me attending the clinic again.

Cool

Torrential rain and blowing up a storm this evening. Expecting a thunderstorm according the the weather forecast. I've battened down the hatches.

Default What Would You Do?

I was recently given the opportunity to have a car donated to the Club in a very dear friends will, I fear I am gradually coming to the conclusion of being fobbed off.

To be given the car by the club was on the proviso perhaps a donation was given to a charity, in fact I donated to two charities, McMillan Cancer Fund and the MS Cancer Fund, on behalf of the club itself I am becoming increasingly frustrated at one line answers as it now been several weeks since his death.

I don't want them to feel I am being insensitive by keep asking when can I have the transfer of ownership and pick the car up. I am gradually feeling guilty at keeping having to ask, what do you think.

If any of you think I am out of order please be kind with your comments.

Many Thanks.

Julien.
