![]() Top one is Pooley Bridge in the Lake District after a lot of rain in the Spring!
(I sometimes think I could pass it off as Switzerland ![]() The bottom one is taken from the ramparts of Muncaster Castle on the Western edge of the Lake District in Autumn. They show just how good the "auto" setting is on my camera - an elderly Fuji Finepix S5500 bridge camera.

![]() Lovely stuff. The Fuji S5500 is the first digital camera I bought myself. Ive got a few from Muncaster myself, its a lovely place me and my clan have visited numerous times.
Edit: Actually, did you shoot this from the corner of the castle where they do the Heron feeding time? Last edited by Canonite; 7th November 2012 at 10:31.. |

![]() Spent ages looking at the huge collection of owls tho'. It was one of those fantastic Autumn days - short sleeved shirt job ! I keep thinking I should upgrade the Fuji - but it does everything I need - so I spend the money on the Rover instead. Maybe one day I'll go in the loft, get out the Praktica MTL5B and all its lenses, buy a roll of 35mm film and see if I can still do it manually ![]()

I love shooting with film though it only lends itself to certain subjects in my style. I love my 1979 Olympus OM cameras, they're completely mechanical and takes 5 small watch batteries to illuminate the internal meter reading, thats the only electronics on it. If a camera does all you need it to, there's no need to upgrade. Personally I felt the limitations of the camera held back my creativity so buying a digital SLR was the only way. |
