Default Fitting switch on Trafficmaster (basic free system)

Ok, I'm planning on fitting my Trafficmaster this weekend... I have all the bits and I also have a switch that I want to fit so I can turn it off if it gets annoying. What I need to know is how to incorporate the switch...

The switch itself is a blue LED switch, which has three terminals :

1 positive feed
2 to appliance
3 negative for LED earth

No 3 is pretty obvious, straight to earth. So the other two connectors will have to attach between the TM harness and the vehicle. But which wire? The harness has a black wire, a green wire, and a pink/black wire. It also has a very short yellow wire, which I don't think is used as it's not mentioned in the 'how to'...

Connect the Pink/Black and the Black cables as in the 'How To' instructions.

Using another piece of similar size cable, connect one end to the Light Green/Orange cable (using the instructions and connector in the 'How To') and the other end to terminal 1 on your switch.

Connect the Light Green/White cable of the Trafficmaster loom to terminal 2 of your switch.

As you say, terminal 3 to earth.

When I fitted mine, I had been warned that the beep might get annoying, so I extended the appropriate wire, and left it accessible so I could easily fit a switch.

I've not done so yet, as although I use the good old M25 several times a week, and include London driving, I don't find the beep annoying. It's reassuring, really, as I feel someone's looking out for me........

All together, "ah, bless...."
