A Grand Day Out....
Great to meet you folks today. Some superb cars to ogle at.
Hope all journeys home were uneventful. A good turn out considering the heat, the holiday season and the somewhat basic web site for the event.... There was talk about a local meet/venue being arranged in the area. I'd be up for that! I'll load up some more pics next, technology permitting. Thanks again everyone John

Just for info - this meet will not take place this year. One of the key organisers has sadly passed away, and there have been issues with the council incorrectly fining attendees using the NPR cameras that now control parking fee collection at Ferry Meadows - that's progress/modern technology for you - we didn't have this problem when there was a man in a kiosk collecting the parking money, and you could show your vehicle pass for the show !

What a shame
Also the decade parking enforcements were a real pain, A 1999 75 and a 2001 75 were not allowed to park together unless you were on a club stand....this raised a few complaints but the organisers refused to bend and it put a lot of people off which really affected the numbers. I myself questioned it but was told I was being unreasonable! See you all at Gaydon in July? Last edited by timspencer; 4th June 2019 at 14:14.. |
