HID Kits?
Since I'm removing my mk1 xenons & fitting MK2 headlights I'd like to fit a HID kit looking at 5000k kit,
Whats the latest on these kits any type seller to avoid? Note: MK1 Xenons will be kept as a spares set for my wifes zt or if I decide to go back to MK1 front.

Why don't you swap the front lenses over with the facelift ones and use your hid lights

what he said ^^^^ but failing that, if your lights are reflector types you are best getting the h7rc bulb type which are hard to get below 6300k. They also have a shorter life. You could try the H7r bulbs but on mine they arc out against the small hood in the lamp.
If you have projectors then the cheap sub £20 kits work well these have been used successfully in 75 projectors |

5000k is a good choice. I run these in my MKI Xenon at the moment.
Brighter than the OEM 4300K but not too blue. Also have a 5000K HID kit on the bike. Have a look here http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/xen...FYbLtAodHXwAZQ or here http://www.hidconversion.co.uk/ |

4.3k is the nearest to natural sunlight and gives the most "light" on the road.
the higher the "k or kelvin" the "bluer the bulb. |

I fitted the Ultra 8000k kit from eurocarparts last week, in my Mk2 projector headlights.
I love the look of the 8000k light.

I love hid's, but beware the cheaper kits.. I've had two now from two different suppliers and both have had flashing issues (on different cars). Piece of cake to fit, just make sure you get ones with digital ballasts and you can't really go wrong.
