Default Installing Navall 3 to Highline Tourer

Hi guys,

Could anyone help me please. I am trying to install my new Navall 3 into my highline tourer with Harmon Kardon. I have the unit connected and powered up but no amp.

Can anyone please get me started with how to connect the HK up? I know little about electrics so hoping I can figure it out.

Secondly, I'm trying to set up the steering wheel controls in the settings area. It allows me to set up the buttons for volume and track advance etc, but when I save the settings, I find the buttons are not operating the right things. Volume up either turns the volume down or advances the track. I've tried so many times now, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Any tips would be most appreciated.

Mine doesn't fit perfectly either. This will annoy me so when it comes forward again for the HK connection, I'll see what I can do to get it to "click" in to place better.

I totally love it though.

Making use of the HK amp is quite a daunting task. I have thought of doing that myself but as it seems quite a lot of work I haven't come around to it yet

Have a look here for more info. Good luck! Bon Chance! Veel geluk!

Behind the unit you will find a L-shaped piece of plastic. It is fixed to the chasis with one bolt (M12 IIRC). Remove that and you will have more room to play

Hi Steve,

Make sure you have the camera phono in the brown back camera phono socket.
There is another marked front which is the same colour, you don't want that one

Easiest way to get it as flush as possible is to remove the air con control panel and you can then gently manoeuvre the cables .
Also you may need to bend the metal ears slightly towards you that the screws go through to hold the unit in place, it is a tight fit but will go

Harry on here has a guide in his signature for getting the sub amp up and running again when replacing a Highline unit.
Personally better quality door speakers would see a better improvement as would a seperate amp/sub if you wish to get better bass response

With the steering wheel controls, did you remove and unplug the white box which was mounted behind the head unit?
If not you will need to do so for the steering wheel controls to function correctly

HTH
Although I find that the L bracket with the Navall3 actually helps this time round in keeping it straight , although if you use the iPod lead it will not fit properly.
My advice is if you use the iPod lead remove the bracket, if you don't use it then leave the bracket in place.

This advice is only for the Navall3 unit
