Yes - strange how such a minor issue irks you when you know that if only you could put the correct bl***y code in you could change it!!

Very frustrating - only issue is now for some crazy reason I keep humming Tom Robbinsons 2 4 6 8 Motorway but with 5678 .......

Glad you’re all sorted Clive.
Only question is ........How did you get the code Steve if Sean didn’t know what it was ?

I would tell you, but you would have to sign a confidential agreement and would have to send the boys in to see you if the agreement is broken

Steve.

What confuses me is how that chap had the info if Sean didn't give it to him

Or maybe Sean did but then forgot

Code 5678 worked for me too so thanks for posting it up
I must say I have a love hate relationship with the star as it has many good points but lots of annoying niggles
Nice screen which is good in bright conditions
Clear voice on hands free
Upgraded IGO software gives me a pop up policeman writing me a ticket if I go over the limit
Better screens when playing music etc
Solved my aerial issue as don't need it now I just use my phone as mobile hotspot and play crystal clear digital radio via UK radio app which has a ridiculous 3000 stations
However the unit often reboots itself for no reason
When I switch it on it always defaults to the music on the SD card and starts off really loud
Often if I change from radio to music on SD card or vice versa the sound is playing on both modes at the same time so I have to remember to stop the sound on one before I change to the other
Every time I press the nav button to hide the nav screen the voice says signal lost which it isn't as if i unhide it the signal is there straightaway
It can take an age to load a DVD

Otherwise ok !!

The radio reception is dire on my Star - but as a technical imbecile- could you give a bit more info on using your phone app.

I could live with 3000 stations - but it’s hard to cope with Radio 2’s signal crashing out to static when the old single din provided crystal clear radio reception with no dropping out

If I had my time again I would keep the old system and buy a simple phone cradle for my iPhone - I find iGo signal spasmodic whereas my iPhone google maps is stunningly reliable- as was my Tom Tom.

To be brutally honest - to only thing going for the Star is that it looks good.
