Default MG7 Rear lights for your 75/ZT

OK - so where did I get them from then?? Well the short answer is China - duh! Remember I was there a few weeks ago, and whilst I could not get to dealer in Beijing myself I did mange to get a colleague in China to order some for me at his China address - he then carried them to the UK when he next visited.

The dealers will NOT DEAL WITH ORDERS FROM OVERSEAS Not ideal - but trying to work on a solution - which MIGHT include transhipping through a colleague in China. There will be a shipping and tax/paperwork costs to add to the bill so I don't know how profitable it would be, but I am giving it a go.

Express your interest after this post.

Now, some details about the lamps themselves: they look good quality to see and touch - no different from the existing lamps - and they are a perfect fit in the existing mounting points. When you buy the lenses you also haveto buy the bulb mount too - but the existing wiring just plugs straight in with complete electrical compatability and no bulb blown warnings on the OBC.

From the back:

Now the lamp unit from the front ...

... and back.

A close up the LED ring that makes up the tail light:

and this is how it all fits together:

Notice the green wire that pokes out and needs to be plugged into the lamp holder itself, that is for the LED ring.

One thing worth noting here is that in order to change a bulb you will have to remove the unit from the car - the whole unit! Even though the lamp holder clips in in the usual way, it needs to be clipped onto the lens BEFORE it is offered up to the car and bolted in place - in fact the rubber sealer sits on top of the lamp holder ... a typically Chinese design I think! A minor point in the ggrand scheme of things I think though

Tail light on (LEDs):

Tail light and indicator on:

.. and now with the brakes on:

... fog lamps:

... and reverse lights:

And how do the compare? O/S vs N/S - OFF ...

... and ON:

NO PROMISES at this stage - but I AM TRYING

Best
