Default Red Alcantara

THe Alcantara on my seat squab is getting very worn and needs replacing.
I tracked down a uk supplier - Glenrevis Ltd and from their colour chart selected "goya 3096" in 1.2mm thickness (recommended). It was not a stock item so had to be ordered from the factory with a minimum quantity of a square meter, costing the thick end of £130 with delivery. Unfortunately it was too red and my local car upholstery guy was not at all happy with it. He produced a shade card from another supplier Martrim Ltd and their "Raspberry MC11" on card A looked a lot better. However, their material was only 1mm thick.
So I took the plunge and dyed a piece with a weak blue dye and it looks a lot better although not a perfect match. I'll see what my upholstery guy thinks.
Anyway, I've got loads of Goya left, so if anyone needs a patch let me know or I have several samples of test dyeing avaiable.
