Teething issues with 75 Club SE 1.8 2003
Erm not entirely sure as to what to write, but I have just bought a 2003 75 Club SE which I am very pleased with. I am having a few issues with it though and am just after some advice. I have serviced the car and was just wondering if it is advisable to try and reset the service mileage myself or would I be better of taking it to a garage. Also a week after I bought the car the brake pad low warning light came on. If I simply change the pads will this light go out or does it require a new sensor? As I say I love the car and for the price I paid (a mere £650) I expected it to have a few issues but I am a bit of a perfectionist so would like to sort these few bits out. Any advice would be greatly recieved.
Thanks Leigh. Oh and neither of my reverse lights work, I changed the bulbs but this did nothing? Is this a common complaint and is there an easy fix? Last edited by Theleighman; 6th July 2011 at 10:54.. Reason: Forgot something! |

Welcome to the club
Regarding the reversing lights - have a look at this thread: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...versing+lights Have you checked the fuse? If it's not the fuse it may be the switch - see the link in Greeners' signature (post two in the thread) for more info on how to sort it out if it is the reversing light switch. Enjoy the new car Last edited by Brigus; 6th July 2011 at 12:38.. Reason: added info |

Hi Leigh,
Resetting the service indicator is quite easy, and something most of us do. The easiest way is to buy a reset tool off e-bay, the most popular ones are this and this (the latter of the two has recently jumped up in price unfortunately). Not 100% about the sensor, but I think most people end up buying a new one, but I'm sure someone will give you a more accurate answer soon. And of course, welcome to the Club! |
