Well Phil what can I say,absolutely superb shot well captured showing Mother Nature at her very best,the kind of shot I am always striving to achieve,but with that one,know I have still got a long way to go.

Thank you Jeff, a chance photo with the rainbows appearing like that. Taken out in the bush in the Rift Valley, drought ridden and begging for the rains. The pond is man made and is part of a ranch house garden. The wild animals visit the pond during the night for their drinks

Thank you very much Jan and John for your very kind thoughts. Hopefully we will get to meet up in the year ahead when we are next in the UK and travelling your way.

Despite the rainbows, the rains did not come. The sky cleared and there was a full moon that night. I was tempted to go outside and set up some shots of the moon, but it was too dangerous. The house and its gardens are exposed to the like of lions and hyenas visiting the grounds at night looking for game or simply coming for a drink from the pond, which is at the back of the house.
