I sold my 75 to artics son can't remember his name
Nice lad though. he came gave me the asking price in cash
I haven't heard anything about it since but I got what I wanted
He could of set fire to it for all I care or broke it up
But I got what I wanted and that's what it's about

Hi.
When you sell a car you are not in a position to dictate it's future. It could languish unused, be broken up or wrapped round a tree in an accident.
So long as the price paid was fair and near to the asking price then no one should have a gripe, especially as it was accepted, you could easily have said no. Comments as in post one are below the belt in my opinion.

EDIT, The fact post one has now been edited leaves the thread with questions especially as the subsequent posts still refer to the original comments.

Theres about a dozen cars I regret selling, the worst being a gorgoues 1969 Rover P5B, I was young and foolish, sold it cheap, bought a rusty beetle instead.

Makes me furious when people make comments like that, especially when they are derogatory ones against a good friend of mine.

I read the initial post - i started thinking i can relate to that, we're (most of us) passionate about these cars and would hope for our car's to be cared for if we had to sell them on

however - the fact you sold the car to a Club member and i'm assuming you (OP) knew that already - it seems a wee bit like a personal dig

I have always wanted a P5 - Just love that shape.

I regret selling my Range Rover (Classic) - It had a fair few problems but none that about £600 would not have sorted. Mind you the fuel consumption was something I am happy to leave behind

And I loved my Emerald Green Triumph GT6 - overdrive on 3rd and 4th

But the worst "lost vehicle" was undoubtably the Velocette Viper I sold because I wanted something bigger, twin cylinder and more modern.

Just looking at this clip makes me drool and feel angry with myself!
