Default 25 leak

Hi ADO13,

Do you have a rough idea of where the water is coming in? I had a puzzling leak in my 25. We had what we eventually called 'Rover Ocean' in the rear passenger footwell. In the end I stripped out the seats and carpet and discovered a grommet in the A pillar that was slightly unseated at the bottom and allowing a very slow trickle. I have no idea how it managed to move because we had owned the car for years without problem. Once the grommet was properly seated the problem never came back.

Thank you. The well for the spare fills and the rear right foot well gets quite damp. A local garage improved things, but it could be improved. I will have a look. Thank you. M.

Upper shroud Andrew? are you referring to the thumbnail trim above the instrument pack?

If so, two self tappers secure it, and then it unclips from the dash trim....why do you need to take it out?

Sorry Brian. I meant the plastic which surrounds the column behind the steering wheel. I have bought a black one. Thank you. M.

Lubricated and cable tied the air bag connectors under both front seats. Washed all the winter road muck off, wax and polish. Checked plenum holes.

Do you polish with a machine? M.

Two screws underneath, and the gaiter is secured with two of the bolts securing the upper steering column Andrew.

I can pop it on for you if you wish

Weekly wash and levels check. Important to keep the screenwash topped up this time of year as it soon gets used up.

Ordered a set of LED bulbs for the boot light - going to see if that improves things before I go adding extra lights.
